Privacy Policy

DIYBlueprintPro (diy-blueprint-pro.com) is operated by Aperture Forge LLC, which is the data controller responsible for the personal data described below. This page is app-owned content, not a certification or independent audit.

What we collect

  • Account data — email address and authentication details when you create an account or sign in.
  • Project data — the dimensions, materials, ZIP code, and saved projects you enter to generate estimates and build guides.
  • Billing data — subscription status from our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Device and usage data — limited technical logs needed to keep the service secure and working, plus optional analytics if you allow them.

How we use it

To create your account, generate material, cut, shopping, and cost estimates, save and share your projects, provide permit-lookup results, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and detect abuse. Estimates are guidance only and are not a quote.

Most processing is automated — your project inputs run through calculation engines and, for paid build guides, AI-assisted generation. A human may review support emails or account-related requests, but we do not manually review or approve individual estimates, cut lists, or permit results before they are shown to you.

Automated processing and decision-making

Your material quantities, cost ranges, and permit summaries are generated by software algorithms and AI models based on the dimensions, ZIP code, and options you provide. No human makes a decision about your individual project results. Pricing and plan access are determined automatically by your subscription status and payment records.

If you believe an automated output is inaccurate, you can edit your inputs, regenerate the output, or contact support for help using the tool. We cannot override an algorithmic result for a specific project.

Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in, secure checkout, remember your ZIP for regional pricing, and store your cookie choice. Analytics and marketing/affiliate cookies are optional and stay off until you allow them. Change your choice at any time on the Cookie Settings page.

Sharing and service providers

We share data only with the providers needed to run the app — hosting and database, authentication, payment processing, AI generation for build guides, and email delivery. Providers act on our instructions. If you use the contractor matching feature, your contact details and project summary are shared with the contractors you choose to engage, subject to their own privacy practices. Retailer and affiliate links you click are governed by that retailer's own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

Account and project data are kept while your account is active. If you delete a project it is removed from your account; if you close your account we delete or anonymize your data, except records we must keep for tax, billing, or security purposes.

Your data privacy rights

Depending on where you live — including the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, and other jurisdictions with comparable laws — you have the following rights over your personal data. We do not charge a reasonable fee to exercise these rights, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

  • Access. You can ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it. This includes the account, project, and usage data described in the "What we collect" section above.
  • Correction. You can ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete. You can also update most account details yourself from your account settings.
  • Deletion. You can ask us to erase your personal data ("the right to be forgotten"). We will delete or anonymize your data except where we are required to retain records for tax, billing, security, or legal obligations.
  • Restriction and objection. You can ask us to restrict processing of your data or object to certain uses, such as direct marketing.
  • Portability. Where technically feasible, you can receive a copy of the personal data you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format, or ask us to transmit it to another service.
  • Withdraw consent. You may withdraw any cookie or analytics consent you previously gave at any time from the Cookie Settings page. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.

How to submit a request

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to hello@diy-blueprint-pro.com with the subject line "Attn: Legal — Privacy request." To protect your account, we verify your identity before acting — we may ask you to confirm the email address on your account or provide additional information so we can match the request to you.

You can also use the postal address in the legal contact block below for formal notices. We respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law — generally within 30 days, and we will tell you if we need more time and why.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with the law. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please contact us before or alongside any complaint.

Children

DIYBlueprintPro is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again.
